Temp sensor problem

I just completed the LIM gasket replacement along with everything else including replacing the temp sensor on the intake. After all complete the temp gauge stays pegged even when the car is cold? What could this be? Bad sensor? Wiring? Any way to test before removing? Thanks,

Check connections. On most years, there is a second connection by the #3 fuel injector connection.

I have that plugged in as well. If I unplug the temp sensor the gauge drops back down.

Are the connection points nice and clean? Could be a bad ground. Either that or the new sensor could bad.
