Temp Control knobs

My Temp control knob has slowly been slipping and not turning the control and finally fell off, it looked broken so i glued back together hoping it would slide back on and no dice. What's the deal with these. do you have to get new ones and do they just slide on and kinda snap onto the control knob underneath? Thanks.
 


I think your gonna have to get a new one...i broke one yeterday...couldn't believe...i was ever so gentle and it just broke right off.
 
i repaired mine with crazy glue...glue the broken piece first and let it dry....then put the metal coupler in with glue an let it dry before you put it back on....it's 6 months and still ok
