TCC solenoid bad?

I have been having problems with my TCC solenoid locking up to soon a 40 to 65 causing the motor to lug and knock. So I installed a switch to turn off the TCC solenoid off and It worked great for a while. Then It started back up again with the switch off and is even worse with it on. I am not getting a check engine light and the whole problem started when I changed the transmission fluid to Dexron 6 could this be a problem being a synthetic?
 


No it's not a fluid change problem. Likely your trans was having some issues etc before. Dave has a writeup on the common TCC issue. Although it sounds like your trans is going through the gears as quick as it can to help you limp wherever you are going.

I'm pretty familiar as I'm limping mine at the moment.

Probably talking bout a rebuild or replace.
