• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

taylor billet aluminum throttle body spacer. . good or bad?

Spend a few extra dollars and get a downpipe instead, at least that will allow your engine to breathe better.

wow, f that thing. you dont need it, nor will it do a thing for you, but drain your wallet.

find a down pipe. you'll feel that a bit at least.

What I wonder is how do random people stumble onto these odd kinds of parts? I probably wouldn't be able to find that thing if I were specifically searching for it. At least he came on here and asked about it before buying it, installing it, then being sad that it did nothing at all for him.

Thats why I joined, so I can ask questions to people with experience, so im not wasting time and money on ridiculously pointless parts, I was talking to somebody and he was mentioning the throttle body spacer, and I decided to look it up google brouht me to ebay.

I see, good deal. When I first got into 3800's, first thing I did was a homemade pvc FWI. Had some good fun doing that, and only cost me maybe $50 including the price of the K&N filter. And stop talking to that guy, lol.

Yeah I was thinking the throttle body spacer would be the start of my madness... but looks like a downpipe and pcm tuning is going to start this show, and yes definitely not going to be taking anymore "helpful" advice from buddy anytime soon lol

Figure out how far you want to go with the car early, you'll save a lot of money that way. Parts sell pretty well 2nd hand, but why go through the trouble if you don't have to?

every last mod on my car was found used. not that the list is all that long, but its all used. lol

just be patient, search craigslist too. nothing is ever just found with out some leg work.

Safely Modding your 3800 thread.

Typed it up...yikes...about 5~ years ago. Needs some refreshing but it's still pretty straight lined for people new to the platform.

It's in the General Tech section.
