• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Tapping a TPS and RPM signal

Not certain this is right section so please move if its not mods.
I have my car info in the introduction section but to sum up, its a 94 cavalier, a 3800sc out of a '00 buick, a 94 olds 88 pcm, and some combination of them in the wiring harness. Either way, the cars currently obd1 which makes tuning more complicated. I bought Zeitronix ZT-2 for data logging and trying to wire it in right now. I tapped into the white wire on the ICM (E -Pin) which I found in an online schematic. Unfortunately I am not getting any voltage from that wire. So now I'm stuck as to where else i would tap into and get a quality signal?

Next is the throttle reading. Where would i tap into for that? Right off the sensor? Which wire?

Hoping to get the logs needed tomorrow so i can have my pcm tuned and stay out of the lean issues I'm having right now.

Any help is greatly appreciated

WHen I had "OBD1" vehicals, I used WIN-ALDL for data logging, it workerd great, and is free. All instructions, from building the OBD-1 cable, to using the program can be found on the net.

I bought a moates cable but it appears when they did this swap they never hooked up that port.. So im stuck with zeitronix. Just need rpm to work so I can get this puppy tuned.
