Tanks silver 04 GT2 (lots of pics)

Grandprix202

I finally decided to make a page about my car. not exactly a build thread because I am unable to work on it everyday still being a high school athlete with no cash-flow or time. but this is my baby. its a 2004 gt2. I got it back in March of 2013 for my first car. i got it with 120,000 ish on the clock. The Engine was bought bone stock and still is sadly but hopefully that will change this summer.

This is the day i picked it up from a guy in the Grand Rapids MI area.

this is taking it for the drive home and probably the only semi rolling shot i have of my car.

the previous owner put the system in.

its a Kicker 1000.1 with a 2 fraid tusinumi cap.

kicker comp cvr 12's

keenwood double din he put in too.

one of the first things i did to it was the Led swap out. i have no incandescent bulbs left in my car. All were replaced by leds

this is for the reverse and the license plate lights.

this is in the trunk. replaced it with a 25 led strip.

just some randoms:

put black reflective inlays in

previous owner had a big ole dent in the side of the door so i took it to the body shop to get that worked out and a couple other bump around the car. it turned out really well for a guy doing it in his backyard garage. and my buddies farm truck i borrowed while it was getting worked on lol

led tails

blacked out the badges and blacked out the reverse light.

mine and my buddies 2005 dodge Daytona Ram

put some audi style led lights under my headlights.

I re-dipped my wheels.

i had to fix the usual HUD spring thingy.

audio improvements i have done:

infinity reference tweeters. had to dermal out some of the door to get these guys to fit.

and infinity reference 6.5 for the doors.

switched it up a little bit with painting the grills matching silver

Best find of 2013 for me was this black gxp wing i got from a junk yard for 25 bucks. i was originally going to paint it silver to matched but i thought it looked pretty damn good with the black and silver theme i got i got going on with the car.

donor car i got it off of

here in michigan we had the 3rd snowiest winter in the history if Michigan so my first year driving the gp in the snow was interesting lol. i thought it did very well besides the drifts that were taller than my car that tried to get through haha. but anyways here are all of my pictures form this winter.

and to rep our Spartans:th_laugh-lol3:

Future Plans:
Exhaust work
Some new rims to ditch the stockers
Retro Fit
Tint
Open cone intake
Flipped dog bones

Let me know what you think!

I found this dangling from the gp. more god awful wiring issues for me.

this the wire i grabbed that was dangling. The part I circled was where it came from

And the other wiring issue that has me confuzzuled is this

just some random wire hanging out there. no idea what its from. the wire that i circled is coming from the part im pointing at with the arrows.

Thanks man... And nahh i have Christmas tree status on my gage... And on my dic I have a total of about four messages that come up. Low oil, Trac, abs, and I think check brake system... It's SO annoying. I pulled the fuse on my abs because it was freaking out because of the hub... Even though I Changed the hub I still have the lights.

Classy does good work, def worth the money. It's a good project if you're willing to get your hands dirty. I can only imagine the amount of work he puts into them.

Yea I've herd nothing but quality products from him... And it scares me having to cut away some metal but it's worth it I know

When replacing the hub were you sure to take special care if the sensor? I replaced mine a few months back and for got to plug it in and the same thing was happening to me. I love the progress that your making, I wanna do a retro too, I also am a high school student therefore I understand the struggle. Lol

Cut metal? If you get them done. Aren't they plug and play

You don't need to cut metal, but you'll probably need to cut out a bit of the plastic headlight bracket since the projectors stick out of the back a bit far. I just used a dremel and made a small hole.

Oh alright I know the red 04+ GP thread that I've been following with the dual setup I thought he had to cut back some of the metal behind the headlight to Make room.
