My car started throwing the code for the MAF sensor the other day. I tried cleaning it a couple of times and the code keeps coming back. So, I went to the two pull and prays in my area to get one. Of the 30-40 Series 2 3800 engines I checked, only one still had the MAF sensor. You'd think they were made out of gold or something.
 


Just expensive to replace when you have to buy them new

GM# 19179715 / ACDelco #213-4337 Mass Air Flow Sensor for the 3.8L SII is Retail $360.08 +tax from the dealership... cheaper aftermarket but still really expensive
 
Well...considering they are running about 50 bones a pop plus...and they are what...150 bucks new?

I'm not shocked one bit.
 
Well, I just tried to replace my MAF with the one I found. They look different. I think the MAF I pulled was from a 2003. Will this work in my 97? (3.8L N/A)
