Hey people I was wondering if someone knew a good way to take off a dealer sticker like the ones carmax puts on their cars. I debadged my car today but I couldn't take off that sticker and its driving me nuts. I tried the same way I took off the badges but its still on there and I got some off but a little bit of paint came off:th_nervous:. Any advise would be very much appreciated.

Go and find yourself an eraser wheel, it's a great little toy to have. They are only $8 or so, you can find them at almost any automotive store.

They are awesome, you really have to try to wreck the paint with them. Lots of little rubber crap everywhere but nothing a wash can't clean up.

I just looked up the eraser wheel and it looks like a very good option from what I've been reading.

it takes sum skill with they eraser wheel ive been using them for yrs.they work excellent but you can burn threw the clear/paint really easily be very carefull and hold it firm and do lil by lil cuz the paint will get hot:th_thumbsup-wink:

i worked at a dealership for an entire summer and the way we took off stickers like that and bumper stickers is get a hair dryer and heat up the sticker then u cane peel it off. ONLY use ur fingernails do not use anything else. After you can use adhesive remeover to get the sticky gunk left behind off.

use the goo gone. i took off the dealer sticker from 1999 using it.. just make sure you rinse it good afterwards and wash the area to remove any residue
