Tail lights fine, brake/blinker not, after replaced

I have replaced the bulb, twice. The blinker and brake light works for about a block, then warning light says bulb out. I know the bulb is the same as tail light. It's a duel filament bulb (I think that's the name lol) I can't figure this out, as the drivers side is fine. The passenger side just keeps failing. Can't go to a mechanic just yet, have to repair myself. If anyone has any ideas, anything is appreciated. Thanks so much.
