• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Tachometer stopped working after some sparks flew and ABS and TCS lights on.

I have a 2001 GP GT. (crashed my GXP) don't want anyone thinking these are GXP problems.

Hey guys I was putting some 4 gauge through my firewall the other day and when I got done my tach no longer works. I was in a hurry and used a screw driver to poke a hole in the rubber grommet in the firewall when a "pop" and or sparks shot me in the face. I hit a wire or a connector, I don't know I can't see what I hit but now my tach just sits at "0". Does anyone have any idea what this is, I checked the fuses both under the hood and in the glove box that I thought would be related to the issue but nothing. All the other gauges work just fine.

Lastly I had the trans rebuilt about 2 weeks ago and ever since then my TCS and ABS light have been coming on at random times. I've found no pattern to them coming on, I just got back from a 2200 mile trip yesterday and they came on randomly throughout the trip. Sometimes they will go off when I shut the car off and sometime they stay on even if I shut it down and restart.

Please let me know if any of you can help me out. I'm quite knowledgeable with GM so I'm not afraid to tackle anything I'd have to do to fix these issues, they just get annoying after a while.

Thanks Guys!

Ben

Okay I narrowed down the TCS and ABS lights issue coming on. Just need some help on the tach, I know theres something thats either shorted out or maybe a sensor failed once I arced whatever it was I hit with the screw driver.

Thanks for any input

Ben
