Tach Bounce, key ON, engine OFF

[98GPGT2D]

Hey guys, as the title states, the tach in the car will "bounce" about once a second, while the Engine is OFF, with the key in the ON or RUN position. I did a couple searches on here, and google. Found someone with a similar issue, but no fix.

Car is a 97 GrandPrix GT with the 3800 Series II.

Removed, cleaned, and refastened grounds already. Stuck my head under the dash and checked every harness connection I could, nothing loose or damaged.

Should I be concerned that the crank sensor is on its way out, or? Been doing it for 6 months now, for as long as I have owned the car.

Should add, car starts and runs fine, no driveability issues to be had.

My 97 does it all the time. Brand new crank sensor. I wouldn't worry about it.

See...It's a disease in the 97's... and they all have it.
