Sway bar tips and a tie rod question

My sway bar broke. Got one from autozone for 65 bucks. Dorman solid 33mm...I believe. Anyways, I had a heck of time getting that thing in. I took a hard look at the new sway bar and it was slightly different than the oem one I took off the car. For my 2002 Grand Prix I had to take the tie rod off. Lowering the engine didn't work ( or it didn't work because I didn't do it right) Of course the bolt wouldn't loosen so I had to cut the bolt off below the ball joint. Anyways, sway bar goes in no problem. I had to change tie rod end now because I cut bolt. Now the damn jam nut won't budge, the whole inner tie rod bolt spins a little, I take off the tie rod end, reinstall, turn inner tie rod bolt back to starting position.......did I screw up my inner tie rod by turning the bolt?

You screw up the alignment if you took both the inner and out tie rods off the car.

I assume you reinstalled both tie rods and everything is tight, then just tighten the jam nut back down and go get an alignment.
