I have a 1996 grand prix se 2 door, with a 3.1 under the hood. I need new suspension all around. i don't want to lower it, but it seems weird that i have struts in the front and shocks in the rear. is that normal on these cars?
 


yeah, its common. those older grand prixs have a monoleaf rear suspension which ends up sagging after a while. with a little work you can upgrade to a strut setup.
 
if i put new shocks and struts on it, it will ride better, ofcourse. when it sages, will it ride like i have nothing in the rear? also how costly is it to put struts in the rear, and could i do it at home?
