I am trying to find the cause of front end noise on my 04 grand prix. It happens when driving over small to medium bumps, when both wheels hit at the same time. It sounds like something knocking under the dash.
I replaced both lower control arms with moog problem solvers but that did not solve the problem. I need help because it is driving me crazy. I am sure other gp's make the same noise so any advice would really be
appreciated.
 


I would check the subframe bushings and bolt tightness. Ensure the ps rack bolts are tight, then look at the sway bar center bushings. Obviously you just had the endlinks in your hands and would have noticed if the bar were cracked on the end.
 
Does it ever happen when you are applying the brakes? If the answer is no, it could be your brake pads jumping around in the calipers. Otherwise it could be a hundred different things :/
