Surge at WOT

I have a 00 GTP and only when im at WOT the car surges/bucks/pulsates at high RPM (above 4K). It does not back fire or throw a code but wanted to know if anyone has experienced this before and what they did to fix it.

I do not believe it has a miss as i would think it would throw a code for misfire.

Any input is appreciated.
