I just bought some bearings for a supercharger I'm partially rebuilding and wanted to share some info with anybody who might be doing theirs. I got the parts from rollingperformance.com. The prices for the case bearings and a viton snout seal are better than ZZP and they shipped the same day I ordered. I don't know about all the bearings, but the case bearings are made by INA. I'm not a bearing expert so I asked the maintenance supervisor where I work and he said that INA is a quality bearing. Hope this helps save a few bucks for anybody else looking to do the same thing.
I got the case bearings out using a variation on the drilled out bolt method. I didn't want to deal with drilling a hole through a bolt so I did it a different way. I got a grease nipple with 1/8"NPT threads. I used a 1/8"NPT tap and went directly into the supercharger with it. One hole is out in the open so you can thread the grease nipple directly into it. A few hard pumps on the grease gun and the bearing popped out. The other hole is right next to the side of the supercharger case and I couldn't thread the grease nipple into it. I got a short piece of 1/8"NPT pipe that is threaded at both ends and a 1/8"NPT straight coupler to put the grease nipple on the end of the pipe. A few more pumps on the grease gun and the second one was out. I know drilling a hole through the bolt and tapping the end for a grease fitting works just as well, but I thought this would be easier for the average person working in their garage with basic hand tools.
