Hey guys, this is only my 2nd post on this site, so lets get to it. So i just recently bought my 2000 grand prix GTP and i've grown up on nothing but ol' muscle cars and antiques, so this computer jazz is super new to me. I understand that when i bought my grand prix that it came with a 2nd supercharger one that had a 3.0 pulley that is.. "Keyed"? I would like to change the superchargers out but im not sure how to go about doing that, and the 2nd supercharger looks exactly the same as the one installed, only difference is that the pulley is much smaller .. thanks guys, and sorry for being new to this lol

do not do it if you want to have a running engine a couple months from now.

These cars typically run into detonation when stock.

If you add more boost, it will increase the likelyhood of this and reduce timing even further killing power.

In an ideal situation, you almost never want to see knock retard which is how the PCM responds to detonation. 1* or less is ideal.

Well the thing is that the supercharger with the 3.0 pulley has been used, you can tell it was on the car before hand, so i am assuming the proper mods are there, from what i know, It has a cold air intake system, downpipe exhaust, not sure about the cam, tranny cooler, and for mods thats about all i know. I was just curious how i would go about checking my KR

3.0 IS huge MOD zone. Put a stock 3.8 on there till you know what you got. Please and we will all gladly help you along the way even tho I actually suck at advice but I swing it ok
