if thats your only modification to the engine... yes
im sure someone will chime in soon with the safely modding your 3800 thread soon here
 
There is actually a thread called "Safely modding your 3800" It has ALL kinds of info in there thats where I would start. But it will hurt if you JUST drop the pulley. There is alot of smaller things you need to do before you can safely do that. The biggest ones are breather mods and a tune. Again check out that thread it will help you out and answer questions for you!! Good luck!!

Don't you wish someone you hate would just try that and then come back and blame you for destroying their engine? :th_thumbsup-wink:
 


You'll need an intake, 180 tstat, a downpipe, and a tune 1st. Just read the safely modding your 3800 thread in the general tech. section.
 
Meh, with a good custom tune you can probably pull it off with just a downpipe, but without yes you'll NEED a plog or headers.
