Supercharger Pulley

SCGPrix

I recently got my oil changed. The mechanic noticed a rattling coming from the supercharger pulley. He suggested having it replaced. A very nice guy at Auto Zone suggested to just order the pulley off of Amazon, which would run cheaper. I have a few questions...

What size pulley do I need?
Which is better plastic or aluminum?
What specific tools do I need?
Does the hardware usually come included with the pulley?

From what the mechanic suggested, it sounds like its something I can do on my own...or should I just the car into the shop.

I think he means the supercharger coupler.

Take the belt off and spin the sc pulley by hand, do it back and forth if there is any knock/slack while spinning it, you have a worn out coupler.

There are countless threads on how to replace one.

It's going to be a year next week that I had the coupler changed. Could it have gone bad in that amount of time?

zzp makes a great one its green and ive beat the crap out of mine for 50,000 miles delivering pizzas in the mountains without missing a beat:)
