Supercharger knock

This weekend i replaced the lim gaskets, the supercharger coupler and ofcourse supercharger oil. Now that its all back together the supercharger is making a knocking type noise, its not the engine. i filled it with two bottles to reach the bottom of the threads, and i didnt mess with the roters any. When i first started it the supercharger was making some knocking noise but went away about 10 seconds later, then came back when the engine was warm. i parked it for a few hours to see if it would come back when it warmed up. I let it idle for mins and took it for a quick ride and came back and popped the hood and heard it again and confirmed that it was the supercharger. what could this be? and is it safe to drive?

thanks

Take the belt off and spin it by hand. Are there any tight spots? Did you use a torque wrench to tighten it?

Don't drive it with the super knocking.

Okay, yes I tourqed them all. I just took the belt off and spun it, I couldn't feel any binding or anything out of the ordinary. I'll stop and borrow a new tourqe wrench from a friend and retourqe them tonight.
What kind of damage could I have caused from running that short time?

Thanks

Sound clip or video might help... Just saying... Can't diagnose something that you're saying when it's sound related. :)

I should have taken a video last night, I'll take one tonight after work. Is it safe to drive it like this with the belt taken off?

If the sound is coming from the supercharger, and you take the belt off, the supercharger wont move at all and the sound should stop, so you wont cause any more damage.
If the sound continues though, it's not the supercharger.

Yeah it's safe to drive unbelted, just maybe dont beat on it.

I haven't taken a video yet because I'm going to try to retoruqe it first, if it's still there I'll post a video. The only torque specs I found were 17ft pounds, is that right? I'm using the zzp garlock gasket. Is there chance of it being the needle bearings? When I installed the new coupler I very very lightly taped the new one down on the shaft using a block of wood and a hammer. Also when I took off the snout the rotors tried to come out too, but only came about a quarter inch out and I carefully slide it back in, did I do something wrong?

One more thing I torqued the snout bolts too 23ft pounds, then today I saw that someone else said they were supposed to be 15. Witch one is right?

Thanks
