Hey guys found out wen i was rotating my supercharger pulley that the shaft would sort of get hard to turn a one spot and would make a clunk noise.. Check out the video below ... How do i change those bearings .. Do i need a new supercharger?:(

It looks like you may need your impellers re-coated. They were definitely grinding on the housing. I would just get a new s/c from here or a local junkyard

Sudbury eh...the big nickel. Been there twice..

Anywho...that scoring in the housing cant be good, but i'm not a supercharger guy, I work with Diesels with Turbo's all day long on farm equipment.

I dont think the coating is the issue at the moment, I would be more concerned with the condition of the case.

The scratches arent more then 1mm deep . Its like scuff marks . I can get away with sanding it down lightly but wat im concerned about is how to change those bearings lol

i'd just get a used s/c they are cheap enough, i bet it cost less to get a used one than rebuild yours, and your case is in bad shape it will never flow right.

Ok will do . Ill call my junk yard tomarrow.. Sadly enough that all this is happening to me wen im try to sell the damn thing lol . But yea i hope they still have the sc off the motor i was ripping apart because thats the only sc in my area that i know of lol

I went to my junk yard and checked out 2 superchargers and they both had those loose turbines and the cassing had ware in it like mine seen in the video.. Is that normal for every supercharger? To have the ware ?

I would just rebuild with new bearings. The coating and housing are bad, but nothing that would cause it to catastrophically fail or tick etc.
