maybe i've been blind, but i have a super idea for a totally stock lookin mod coming soon.... just need to track down some wiring diagrams and parts from a donor car

stay tuned!

(can you guess??? :P )

lol if i tell you, i might not be the first to have done it... but i'll give you a hint... it has to do with the interior :)

nope not new seats-- if i were going to do that, i'd do the sts-v seats like the guy on the other forum.

tsk, tsk....

i'll give you another hint :)

There's gonna be a part of a montana minivan inside my GTP, and it WILL appear stock

;)

er no.

man you guys arent thinking well enough :O

i'll post up a pic in a little bit, but keep guessing.

alright alright alright. i cant keep no friggen secret

i will be getting one of these from a montana van, and color matching it to the medium grey of the gtp console, removing the onstar lid and putting the sun glasses pocket in from my current console, as well as the maplight assembly from the gtp.... i'll be wiring up the trip computer thing too, as well as the homelink... nobody else has done this that i have seen!

Your GT doesnt have homelink and the trip computer up there. (unless someone did it before u bought it) just the empty pocket thing for your regular transmitter--- and the cubby with 12v in the front

I want a detailed how to on that. Lots of pictures and detailed step by step. Pretty please.

I'll do my best :)

i've yet to look at the wiring schematics for the montana console as to the wiring for the trip computer thing, but i suspect that it's OBDII data that gets the stuff up there, so i'll need to run a wire up there for that -- so we'll see. the homelink just requires 12v + ground. depending on the construction of the trip computer thing, i may look at it and see if i can put in some kind of difuser to change the green to amber/red, but not sure if that is feasible/possible. --- if all of that works out, i could then relocate the DIC from the dash somewhere else, so i have room for gauges there. --if something doesnt work out for the trip computer in the overhead, i'll likely just take the homelink guts from the montana console and put it in the gp's

yeah, i am too. --crossing my fingers that the info center is not classII, but OBDII data. i wasnt really paying attention and bought a console out of a montana that has classII data bus, so it's possible that it wont work.... which means i need one from a 2000 or older. we'll see.

i need to find a temp sensor probe to work with it though, but arent most GM's using the same temp sensor up by the radiator?
