Sunroof problem?

Hey guys,

I have a 99 Grand Prix GT, One problem that just started happening is the sunroof does not go all the way back. Once in awhile it will go back fully, but most of the time it will stop half way. I doesnt seem to be the motor because it does not go slow or make any whining sounds, Im assumimg it has to be something to be with a stop sensor? Has anyone had a similiar problem or advice? Thanks in advance.

The motor may be weak and overheating. That is the only thing I can think of. You may want to contact TurboKent, as he has a sunroof assembly setting in his garage. He may be able to take some pics and show you what things look like inside without having to tear yours out. If worse comes to worse, I am sure he would sell the assembly to ya.
