Hey I have a 98 Grand Prix GTP 4 Door, and it has the factory sunroof. I bought it about a month ago and it has had this issue ever since.
When I go to open or close my sunroof. It will open about an inch get stuck and you hear this grinding noise. I give it a little help and it slides about another 2 or 3 inches and does the same thing, and then I just help it finish going all the way open. When it is fully upen it stops as usual. When I go to close it it gets stuck about an inch and grinds and then I have to pull it closed it moves 2 to 3 inches gets stuck and grinds, and I have to assist it again and then when it closes completely it starts to gring again. Is this a simple fix or do I have to have major work done to it.
