sunroof delete? (pics added)

I am ready to drop out the entire sunroof assembly from my 99 GTP. I know they make "sunroof delete" panels for other vehicles. I am curious if there is anything like that for these 97-03 W-Bodies?

If anyone has done this, or fabricated their own delete assembly, I am all ears!

if i were to "delete" it, i'd still leave a little flippy latch on it so i could at least tip the back of it open (which is the only way my sunroof opens anyway).

sunroof delete is drill all the spot welds out and put a new roof skin in without a sunroof from another gp. doesnt matter 4 door or 2 door the skins are both the same. headliners inside are different though.

Cool cool. Maybe I'll look into that route. Headliner is already removed. Turning it into a track car. Lots of weight reduction mods taking place. I'll post some pics tonight.

I am slightly scared of that factor. Although, I have been convincing myself to go through with all of the small details, and the weight reduction is really adding up. Just finished with the driver side door last night. The rear of the car is completely gutted. Even cut out the rear speaker/seat tray with my circle saw and put in a rear ZZP STB.

Yessir, they are in my sig. The plan is to really lighten the car up, and then do a turbo setup. Want to see what a lightened platform with a mild turbo setup on a stock tranny can do. Then if the tranny busts, I will upgrade and crank up the boost. Going non-intercooled turbo route on E85 to start.

Yeah they're in! Haha, I should update my sig. I think they hit the bonneville firewall though... Because now I have more KR.. But feels much faster. Could also be my cyl 2 misfire I'm still chasing.

Nothing other than moved some plug wires around and new plugs when I did the header install. Because I've been lazy after busting my azz on that header install all weekend ha. Pretty sure its either my spare coils or ICM that I put on it before I figured out the cat was clogged. Thats the only thing I changed before it started happening.
