Hey guys, bought a 3-gauge pillar pod..I need some cheap gauges to fill them up for now before I get the expensive ones...at autozone they have the sunpro brand...I wanted to run a oil pressure gauge, volt, and not sure about the third? :th_scratchhead: But if I were to buy these..can I wire them straight from the package? I think i remember hearing the oil pressure sensor is behind the passanger front wheel by the oil filter...how would I hook this up? Thanks guys!

the third gauge is going to be a 'useless' gauge anyway. trans temp might be your best bet for something fairly useful.

Why buy cheap gauges for the time being?? Why not just get 1 nice gauge until the other 2 nice ones come along??

I ran Oil pressure, volt meter, and trans. temp. Later swapped out the volt meter for an Aeroforce..which is awesome.

And you unthread the sensor by the oil filter, and thread in the new sending unit.
Oil Gauge Installation <--The write-up I used to install mine.

I've used mechanical gauges and never had a problem with oil leaking.. Just have to use grommets in the fire wall so you don't chafe the line...

You won't pass tech at the dragstrip if you like to race your car. They won't allow engine oil past the firewall in any form.

Hey thankyou for the responses! I wanted to fill in these holes for the time being until I get an aeroforce. I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge but the hose for the oil seems way too short to reach the oil sensor by the oil filter

I don't race this car at all....

When I used to take my 90 cavalier and 91 grand am to the strip, I had the mechanical oil pressure gauge in both... They never really bothered with it...
