So a few days ago Im with my buddy and were driving on our way home after going to the mall. I notice a black Pontiac Sunfire in my rearview mirror which is no big deal, hes a little close but alot of people like to ride your behind now a days so i think nothing of it. Well hes still there and in the distance there is a red light at an intersection which when near opens up too, two lanes then once your through the intersection the right lane merges back into one lane. So i kno the light will change green but this guy is right on my ass now and as soon as it turns green he floors it to make the pass and get infront of me. Once he eventually gets beside me i just put the hammer down and its a no contest from there. My buddy got a good laugh and the rest of the way home the sunfire was still on us but didnt think of doing it again. I kno its nothing special but he started it I just finished it. I also hate when people just wanna get infront of me for no reason, it was a clear day with no traffic at that time, So whats the point you kno? Just to get a car ahead. Plus i saw it coming so i had to lol. My rides just a 2003 GP GT, bone stock at this point, and the sunfire had a Big Annoying Fart can. Hate it lol.
 


Haha nice one, that's exactly what I would do. Hate when people try to pass you for no reason like that.
 
What is it with Sunfire owners? I mean, they are nice cars and all, but they can't **** with a GP!
The other day there was a nice looking Sunfire with nice chrome tipped dual exhaust riding next to me, tapping his gas, making his car fart and lurch like he wanted a go at me. I gave my car just a little gas and he gunned it, farting loudly. So I hit the gas, and sure enough, I didn't walk him, I damn near kicked him over and ran him.
 
I had A 2.4l sunflower with a 5 speed and raced many gtp's, i would keep right up threw first and second up to 80km/h, thats where second gear stopped and super long 3rd gear began lols, and gtp sat and spun and id make sure to get a good launch. i have said before go to j-body.org and their are people with boltons break into high 14's, stock gtp category, if they install the supercharger gm made for them they are faster then a cobalt ss supercharged.nothing huge but they can be a good race from time to time.

Hold up, you enjoy J bodies?

They're more poorly assembled than our cars are.

Fuel economy is amazing, but its still a late 90's early 00's GM.
 
I enjoyed my sunfire, was my first car and payed a $8000 for it(was 18 years old, didnt know better.....) i had no choice but to enjoy for the 3 years i was stuck with it lols(loan), you wouldnt forget your first car would ya?

Its the fact because they have a 2 door vehicle they think its a fast sports car. Im not saying everybodys like that but at least the people around where I am are. They look at my gp and think its some big slow piece when in fact it runs them right over. There always this guy who lives near me who has a what I would say 2003 chevy cavalier z24 with a dual fart can exhaust. Drives buy my house at least 10 times a day reving the ball bag off the thing. So annoying and not cool lol.
 


there was a ball bag at work with a sunflower with all the stick on crap tribal stickers and all he used to try and race me when I had my n/a bonneville it always ended the same he lost and he got pissed so he bought an ebay electric turbo and we raced again same outcome he acused me of cheating LOL. after the bonneville got wrecked I bought the grand prix he tried to race me twice lost worse than before he called me names and talked S**T the next day @ work. he won't even look @ me anymore cause he knows he is a PUTZ.
