Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I have a 97 GP with 3800 ho with 123,000 miles on it. I am on a trip for the military, so I don't have my tools with me. Now that I have given some background, let me give you the problems. First, I can't shift the transaxle out of park without pushing the manuel release next to the shifter. Second, I went down to autozone because the ses light came on. The code read a lean occurence on bank one. I don't think it is the MAF, because I just changed that 2 mo. ago. Could it be the O2 sensor? How can I find out without spending a lot of money? Any help would be appreciated.

Do you're brake light's work? If not it is you're brake pedal switch. That should fix both problems.

If not it could be something associated with the ignition key switch.

As for the lean condition, Most lean conditions on these cars are associated with vacume leaks. I would highly recoment starting there. Just make sure ALL of the hoses ect are on and not dryrotted.

My brake lights are working and the ses light went out. I am thinking that the lean condition was caused by the drastic altitude change. I went from northern Utah to northern Texas. That is an altitude drop of over 3300 feet. I just had to wait for the computer to readjust. On the trans axle problem, could it be the parking/nuetral switch on the trans axle?
