okay I have an 04 grand prix. I have a sony headunit hifonics amp and 2 infinity 1260w subs. I had this system in my old car and when I took it out everything worked. everything still works my subwoofers just will not hit, my headunit turns on so does my amplifier. I bought some harness adapter (scosche) from Walmart and spliced every wire but 2. there is an orange wire and a blue/white wire not spliced. the orange is supposed to be for dash lights. yet they still work, the blue/white wire says nothing on it. not sure whats wrong or why they wont hit but I need help!

Well if you have power to your amp and it's not in protection mode, the problem could be with the signal or the speakers

Blue/white should be the amp turn on wire. Unless you hooked up the "remote" wire for the amp to an external source this needs to be hooked up. The orange wire is for dimming the radio when the headlights are on. I never hook that up.

I hate hifonics, i had a 2200 watt hifonics, it blew within a month, i bought a used 1000 watt alpine amp, hits just as good and has lasted me 6 months.

Well after posting this I went out and looked everything over, my dumbass forgot to hook up the rca cables to the head unit lmao, and don't get me wrong I'm not bashing hifonics in any way, after going through a couple amps, for the bang I can't beat hifonics for the price man!
