Hi everbody. I am looking for advise on how to get the last bolt out of my trans. 01 GTP I have everything out and ready to pull the trans out but the one bolt that goes in backwards from engine to trans is being a mutha!! I cant for the life of me figure out how to get it out....any help would be amazing! By the way the engine and trans are still in the car.:th_scratchhead:

Extensions and a swivel socket. Makes short work of it. A nice, small, quality flashlight will help you see what your doing and make life much easier as well.

go in from the passanger side make sure you remove the brace connecting the transaxle to the engine block. now you will be able to see the bolt. get a 3 foot extention and an 18mm socket and take it out. i went through the same thing and couldn't beleive how easy it was when i found the correct way to do it. just a word of advise, when you put it back it wrap a peice of paper towel around the bolt then put it in the socket. that will hold it in place so that it won't fall out of the socket when trying to get it back it

Well thanks for the advise everybody, i got it out and back in today. All i have left is to get some royal purple fluid and an inner cv boot and we will be ready for the road test.

Glad you got it all back in. Surprisingly I find the w-bodies are one of the easier more enjoyable vehicles to pull the engine/trans from. With basic hand tools and jack stands you can have the engine and trans out in about 3 hours.
