Stumped

Yesterday night my check engine light came on rough idling than got the code and its multiple missfires... i have new plugs, wires, my coils are fine so is my module, vacuum lines are all good and i have no idea but than my light went off and my engine stopped running hard but now i have a small knock after i hit the gas... any ideas?

Make sure all plug wires are properly attached and in the right order. Cleaning the MAF wouldnt be a bad idea. Try the things that dont cost money first b4 throwing parts at it

well thats the thing i have checked all of those things and i regularly clean my MAF whenever i do a oil change

what sort of maitenance have you done to the car?

new plugs wires oil change every 3000 miles , s/c oil changed every 30,000 basically all basic tune up type stuff

I would check your plugs for any hailrine cracks....


that would cause a misfire, that would make me think the wires are bad....... its causing the spark to arc into the plug.....

if it happend soon after you did plugs and wires, then i would be willing to bet that is where your issue ends.
had you made ANY other changes prior to this issue?

otherwise have your coil packs and iginition module tested.
dont just say they are fine, give us a reason why you think they are fine.
any other codes?

i had both my coils and module tested... but my missfires stopped i just have a slight knock i will try to videotape it for you
