Strange noise while turning - sounds like shuffling a deck of cards

Hello. I'm new to this site and any feedback is appreciated. I own a 2002 Grand Prix GT that's been making the strangest sound - like shuffling a deck of cards. The noise comes from the front end, mostly in the center and to the right. I don't hear it when I'm going straight or steering slightly while driving on the highway. It happens when I'm making turns - mostly when turning right, but sometimes when turning left. Especially at low speeds while parking or making my way around a parking lot. I've tried to pay attention to when it happens - it doesn't only happen while the car is cold. Any ideas?

That's what I thought originally but my mechanic couldn't find anything wrong. But that was about 4 months ago so I think it's worth another look. Dadillac said it might be the tire rubbing on plastic wheel well so I'm going to check that out first and take it from there. Thank you for your reply.

Kinda sounds like a CV axle to me, they are known to click and or pop when they do go bad.

New to this site so still figuring out how to reply to each post. Think I've got it now. As I said in a previous reply, my mechanic checked out the CV joint about 4 months ago and didn't see anything wrong. If tires are not rubbing, then I'm taking it back to him for another look. Thanks.
