Strange noise when reversing. What could it be?

Hey guys, recently my 2000 Grand Prix GTP started making a strange noise when I reverse and the wheel is turning all the way to the left. It sounds like the tire is scraping/rubbing on something. It only happens when I reverse and turn the wheel left, when I turn the wheel right it doesn't make the noise. Is this a common issue or has anyone else experienced this? The tires are fairly new, I got them this February and they are the recommended size. Thanks for any help.

Turn it all the way to the left and stick your head under there and look. If something is rubbing then you should be able to see it. Look for a clean spot on the plastic wheelwell area, or anything metal under there. If it's shiny, then there's your rub.

So I found the issue... here's a pic. Is this any easy fix? Also, it's starting to make a rattling sound now when I drive and go over somewhat of a bump.

What's your rim setup? You could prolly just throw on spacers and call it a day if your aftermarket, but you shouldn't have rub with stock rims if you do something's wrong

I just looked at my 00 GPGT and that splash shield on mine has the bottom edge tucked up on TOP of the subframe, not hanging below it like on your pic. I'd bet that's why you're rubbing.

yeah i think that the lower part should be behind the sub frame there, you should be able to see the lca mounts. i cant see yours due to it being covered.
