Hi guys! Few quick questions, thinking about straight piping my 08 GP GXP. First off, opionions... too loud or pure awesome? Second Do I have to worry about anything in taking the Cats off? third I've been told it's illegal to take the Cats off? I live in FL not sure what the laws are here. and about how much should this cost to get done? Thanks guys!

No emissions here so technically you can remove the cat and not worry about inspections. Now you may run into a problem finding a shop that will remove it for you and also if you have any work done they may not touch the car if the cat has been removed.

By federal law you need a cat. Though many still don't run them.

Your car only has one cat, and removing it will gain you nothing. So its best to keep it for sake of never having the check engine light come on.

Straight piping will be very loud and after a little bit it will grow old and you'll want to add a set of mufflers to tone the sound down some. I'd just pick a pair of mufflers and weld then in. Keep the resonator so you don't get drone.

If you want some good sound delete the resonator first there will be no drone. If you delete the cat you will notice a little power band shift.

Well for starters I've already had the res delete done and it's nice but it's not quite loud enough for my taste so I'm trying to figure out ways to get a nice sound to her.

If you delete the mufflers too it will sound good....inside the car...but outside it will be a little too loud granted you still have the cat to tone it down a little but not the route I would go.

if you go catless youll need a tune. IMO regardless if you have a gxp you want a tune anyway. But i had 3' downpipe no cat 36' 3inch cherry bomb to two 3inch shorty cherry boms in the rear, sounds deep no drone, but a getting to loud, to many people think im trying to race them and ****.
