Re: stock size?

welded thursh 2 chamber muffs i was looking at the back of my stockers today and i realized that my stock piping looks a bit smaller then the 2 .25 inlet / outlet to clamp on and clamping is my option am i right or wrong that a 2.25 muffler will or will not slip over the original piping after my current muffs?? "im cutting my srocker muffs off right where the muffler is and where the pipe begins.

after the y i think its 2". you might have to chop off all the way back to the y and go from there. this is where an exhaust shop would come in handy unless you know how to weld.

bio i feel you are right =[ but i wanna do it myself without welding can it be done and wtf do you get a Y pipe at?

Here you go. I made this for you real quick to show you where the y-pipe is. Not the percise exhaust setup but you get the general idea. The y-pipe is welded at each part of the Y to connect it to the exhaust pipes. You can get Y-pipes at summitracing for sure...Probably auto parts places too.

Good makeshift drawing TDC... wonder if his mufflers have an offset inlet like the stock mufflers have?

Thanks lol, You know now that you mention it I belive he said his didnt in another thread. But then he said his car didnt either. He said he looked and his car had center inlet/outlets.

I had to fab some pipe on my mufflers to get them to be straight, because I ran 2 25' glasspacks.Otherwise they would have looked like a pigeon footed person :th_laugh-lol3:. Thats what happens when you put straight thru inlet/outlet mufflers on a Y pipe lol

you can always try... ... id just be afraid of an exhaust leak....id just take one to the wallet and have it welded by someone. thats my 2 cents

ok ill try this all tuesday morning and bio do you have a number i can call u at to make sure i can unload em tuesday at best buyt man??? send me a pm thanks dude.
