Stock motor, e85 how small of a pulley can be ran assuming custom tune



Im just thinking more fuel lower combustion temperatures I just don't want to run out of injector pulse I know cars I just don't know how to tune them yet I'm trying to learn
 
e85 requires about 30% more flow for the same power. i just get a kick out of the can i run this setup untuned questions. you can run anything...but it will run like ****. may not even start considering that with 80# injectors you will have roughly 250% of the fuel you need if you try to run it on the stock tune...
 
, I know quite a bit about cars but forced induction changes things a little bit I want to learn how to tune but I need someone to help point some things out out and how I should adjust and what to look for I kno that it will have to b tuned at some point that is obvious but I need to get the car running again the car hasn't moved in two years
 


60s might work ok on a stock tune. 42s will support quite a bit on a stock tune though. . Like a 3.0 and rockers would make alot of power.

stop looking for people to give you the answers you want and really think about what they are saying to you. so lets think about it for a minute. ive done a couple e85 cars and the consesus seems to be either scale the injectors or scale the maf and change the stiochmetric fueling and PE accordingly. since you cant tune the only option you have really is to scale the injectors physically (ie intall bigger ones) 42's are roughly 30% bigger then stock so all other things held the same just changing injectors fueling should be fairly close. going to 60's or 80's gives you either 100% more fuel or 140% more fuel the maf curve is setup for the 33# stock injectors and regardless of pulley size you are bound by the curve (with a smaller pulley you are just going to reach higher in the curve). adding bigger injectors at this point is just going to throw idle tuning and cruising ability way off. sure the LTFT's will account for some of the error but its not even close to "right".
 
^^that. 42's will work if you don't want to tune. If you want bigger injectors, you will need to tune, end of story.
 
Ok now I get it I just needed someone to basically show me what I needed take in to account for it to make sense eventually I will get tuning software but for now I don't have 500 to spend to get hpt
 


You can get someone else to tune it so you don't have to spend the money, depending on where you live someone on here with tuning software maybe willing to help. Or a canned tune can get you close. It will never be perfect but it should run.
