how many lbs of boost have people pushed them too? i think i remember reading 22-24 lbs is max is about it. my car has head studs in it. just curious as im going to order a new wastegate with an 11lb spring so i could run upwards of 22 lbs. i currently run 18 with 18* of spark advance and havent had any issues.

Run em.

The guys from Canada has run up to 30 on completely stock motors. I don't think you'll have a problem especially since you have studs and your car is slow. ;)

Im not sure what you would switch to. I sent SCE an email to try and get info from them, but they are difficult to get ahold of.

those high performance MLS pieces of **** that were so popular for a while

Ive had MLS with less power then I have now and they blew. I then went with stock. Worked much better. I just blew my stock gaskets at 25 psi due to cracked heads and also my engine not breathing enough. I only have a rear PEM which i'm getting rid of. I have new stockers ready to be put back on.

I forgot who but he ran 28 psi on stock gasket.

MLS are stock head gaskets on the 3000GT/Stealth's and also DSM's. There are many, many guys running 20+ psi of boost and still lots of others running 35+ psi of boost on the factory MLS with no issues on those platforms. It's odd that the 3800 platform would have issues with them, unless there was some sort of manufacturing defect or something else causing the failures/issues.
