stock gp vs. 4.0 Mustang

a few weeks back a 4.0 mustang pulled next to me and started playing around, so i dropped it down to the bottom of 2nd and we did a pull from 65-100. I quickly put a car on him and maintained until 100 when I shut down. this was with 3 other people in my car :(

that is odd mustang should have got u even if it was a v6 those v6 stangs must have worse top end then the gps then lol

yeah, im pretty sure he was trying. i thought he was going to get me, but i pulled hard on him. this was right after the races down here in fl

x2 im finding it a little gard to belive it was a 4.0l maybe a 3.8l

The man speaks the truth. Except it wasn't a 4.0, it was a 4.6. He pulled pretty hard on me, I wasn't expecting to get raped that bad. I wasn't spraying though, hopefully next time I'll get em.

lol, I kinda believe him. I have driven the pants off of the 4.0 and it just doesnt move. they are extremely slow. you have to be one it for a long time before it hits its 125 governor. I would definitely put money on my NA GT with only intake, over the stang. and thats not even saying anything about drivers, I mean if I drove them both consecutively down the track. the 4.0 wont hardly even spin the tires. and the stang is just as heavy as the GP slugs.

next time i'll record it so i can stroke my e-peen on grand prix forums lol. his car looked completely stock aside from the dark ass tint, and this was on the highway after the car hangouts on a tuesday night. there was alot of good runs that night, and i happened to get next to a mustang that downshifted next to me.. so we went. and thats the outcome. alot of people saw it, unfortunately none of which own grand prixs so i'm sure the interest to chime in to a bunch of guys on the interwebs would be low.. @jeff, ty for insight sir.

as for which stang it was, i guess it could have been a 3.8, which would made it a little bit more even against my 3.8. but the huge ass 4.0 badge on the side must have been after market right? :P

you sure about that? im almost positive they make 4.8l badges and im pretty sure they have 4.0 badges as an option as well. dont know for sure though

4.8L? Never heard of a mustang with that. When they switched to the 4.6L in the late 90's the had the GT 4.6 badges if that's what you're talking about
