Stock 2007 GP 1/4 times

Hi all, recently picked-up a base '07 Grand Prix. Its n/a 3800 III is peppy and I know it's not a race car, but I'm curious as to what it's 1/4 mile time might be. (I'm not a race-car driver and have no plans for the track.) I'm guessing 15-16 seconds?

It's easier to find times for the GTP & GXP, which stock seem to be 14-15 and high 13's-14?

Thanks.

Mid to high 15. Lightly modded they can hit low 15s and start to dip into the 14s (about where I'm at). Cam, headers, lots of port work you can get low 14s. That's about where they start to run out of steam.

If one felt the need for speed, would it be better/cheaper just to get a s/c 3800 or GXP and call it a day? How expensive to get a n/a engine into low 14's/high 13's?

High 13s is near impossible. You could swap in a supercharged engine and mod it some for cheaper than it would take to get a N/A 3800 into low 14s. The record for a 3800 without a supercharger or turbocharger, no stroker kit or boring out, is 300 crank HP.
