I'm trying to find the 0-60 time for a stock 99 GP GT Coupe but I can't find it anywhere or its a bogus answer like 6.0

Back before I knew any better I blew both front wheel bearings from spinning tires to get my jollies. Bad for the clutches and fluid in the trans too.

True it was my first real run with the car too but I feel I controlled the spin fairly well.

Haha ya I know what you mean, I wonder how much faster the car was 16 years ago and if its lost a lot of power from age.

Doubt its lost all that much unless you're burning oil like mad. A tune up never hurt. Its ok to light em up every once in a while, you'll get a better 0-60. If mine caught immediately Id probably be looking at 7.2-7.5 down from GM's 8.3.

One other thing to keep in mind is don't shift into fourth at WOT, the older 4T65e's were stripping splines off the 4th gear shaft and in some cases damaging the shaft itself.

8.5 0-60
16.5 1/4

but who's driving and where and when?
so unless you're comparing time slips , it's a moot point to say someone is slower then you

TC either applies brakes or delays spark timing to reduce power to cut back on wheelspin. Different systems in different vehicles, not sure exactly which one the 3800/W-body uses. There's others out there but thee principal is the same, ABS module briefly applies brakes upon the WSS detecting slippage or sends a signal to the PCM to reduce engine power long enough to regain traction.

How have you not used your own advice and stuff an immeasurable amount of dicks in your ass?

Okay Mr Google , go ahead copy and paste , but it won't teach you how to understand this platform. The proof was watching you fail with an intake gasket..

lots of "real" knowledge here but go on , continue to tell us how awesome you are. Please englihten us.

Not google, Automotive Technology a systems approach volume 5. It only listed a couple of ways traction is regained and unfortunately the attitude of the instructors is that well learn anything they don't teach us on the job. Not 100% sure the intake gasket has failed so put a hold on your dicksuckers until I change my oil here in another 300 miles. Not seeing a milk shake so I'm not too terribly worried about it at this point.

Damn what did I miss? I did a first ever 0-60 last night and got 7.442 according to Torque pro, for whatever that is worth.
