Stereo Replacement

2004 GT2 here,

Im looking to replace my stereo with an older 90's era model. I believe the stock radio on this car is whats called a "Double DIN" can i replace the stereo with any other GM/Delco model that is also Double DIN? what sort of issues might i run into with this?

I just love the look of the old GM radios.
