Steps tp removing panel under the steering column

Sudden

I took the two screws out from under there but it's still in there tight. Are there other things that hold it that won't pop loose when I try to pull it out?

there 2 bolts that hold on the column you may have to wiggle it left to right. its held up by a plate with 4 bolts thats attached to the dash

the foot cover part? has a few screws and iirc 2 push pins further back to hold it up.

the plastic just popped off. then theres the 4 bolts in the steel metal shield. two of them you go through the holes to get the bolts.

I pulled the side cover off and there's a screw there. I think there's a screw or two under the cover around the radio. After that it may pop off. There's another black cover screwed on under the tan cover. Right now I want to run the wire to get my AeroForce gauge plugged in. Later when I get time I want to hook up my AEM boost and A/F ratio gauges. I struggle with this stuff because of my RA, I can only do so much when I feel like it. It's a big help when you guys can save me some time, thanks.

If you're working to remove the rigid plastic dash bottom panel under the column in a 97-03, after the two screws are out and the fuzzy panel is off, just pull the panel toward the driver straight back. If its so stubborn you fear breakage, pop the upper piece (instrument panel bezel) loose so you can reach it better. The two panels may overlap but don't interlock and its just two lower screws and two upper clips holding it in place. I put a dash replacement how to up awhile back, that might shed more light on the area you're working in.
