steering noise HELP

hey, i have a problem. can you guys help me. i have a 2000 grand prix SE, 3.1 motor. when i am driving with the wheel perfectly strait you can hear something under the car near the tire area knockin around then when i turn the wheel just a inch it seems to tighten up and you cant feel anything knocking and also when im on the highway going strait i brake to get off and the whole car knocks awful. What could the problem be.

Thing i know are bad:
1.bad front struts-can push the pass side down and bounces 10 times
2.on the drivers side the front bushing on the lower control arm is under the arm(see pics)

check your tie rod ends, have a friend turn the steering wheel back and forth, and watch the ends, if they move with out the spindle moving they are bad,(they should be tight to the spindle) and if the front end bounces 10 times when u push on the front end get new struts and new strut mounts asap. or the rubber boot on the cv joint may be ripped and flapping around under there.
