I have a 97 GT. Its my first car, am a Newbie bear with me please lol
First things first how do i tell if i have the premium sound system or just regular?
Question 2. I was given 6-1/2'' Pioneer speakers, i read that they were too big for the front speakers and i would need some Metra Universal 1" Speaker Spacer Rings, Does anyone have some pics they could share with me with those size speakers in the front?
If you have any suggestions for anything sound related i would love to read or even some pics.

The premium sound will say "BOSE" on the two front lower door speakers. There should be another way, but mine has bose and I do not know what the non premium looks like.
 
the non bose only has one speaker grill on the rear deck. shances are if you factory radio does not have eq knobs on the face it is not bose.

all you have to do for the front speaker is make a spacer. get some 3/4" mdf from the store and make it. it is alot cheaper that way.
 
there's 4 speakers on my rear deck and i also have EQ knobs on the stock radio but it does not say Bose on the bottom of the front speakers grill...:th_wtf: Am not sure what i have lol but i also have 2 tweeters in the front doors like against the corner of the window...Not stock? maybe previous owner installed? Little lost here ha

Anyone have pics of the 6-1/2'' speakers installed in the front? please post
 
well i ended up blowing the money on a system anyway :th_laugh-lol2:
