the kid down the road has a srt 4 always zipping by and letting his exhaust gasses pop! Well today i finally had the opertunity to catch him leaving and we both headed down thenroad and lined up on the interstate he punched it and i pulled slightly the first time. he looked very surpried lol! the next time we slowed to about a 50 roll and he honked off and we went again it was neck and neck and theni pulled hard after a couple of seconds i was really surprised just how hard! i put out about three cars on him and we shut down. later we talked and he was like damn your car is fast i did not expect you to pull like that! i found out he has just a intake and exhaust he said it is at stock boost seeing around 14 psi or so.
 


weird because they run high 13's stock...plus being a turbo set up he should pulled on you both times...good kill if its true.
 
I was thinking the same thing, these cars are pretty quick. I mean they were the fastest car in it's class and they could pull on Cobra's,and Vettes.

Congrats on the win though!
 
proper 3.4 setup should take a stock srt4. but even the LS1 vette's could put down better than a 14.0
 
i went into that race thinking he would win! just wanted to see what the gp could do! he could probably use a driver mod it def wasnt slow though!

Meh, driver's race.

I've seen 3.4" setups run 14.2~ all the way down to mid 13's with the right conditions...same with the sertfour.

Some of them are high 14 cars with crappy drivers trapping 100 mph...buddy had a SRT4 ACR Neon...went 13.65 @ 104? I think...had the factory BFG KDW's that came with the package.

If said SRT driver started in a crappy gear, like 4th? At 50mph...I could see a 3 car pull...then again, if he went from 3rd gear the first time...or even edged the top of 2nd out on the OP, then it coulda nosed it.

Oh well, still a Neon.

if he runs hih 13's how should he beat my setup? i should be a mid 13 just saying! i have a 3.4 and 3.29 gears.
 
exactly you have to know your gearing and where your power band is at i have raced these things and been with friends racing them dozens of times! in ls cars its all about starting gear for roll racing and a good driver
 
if he started in fourth i'd smack him. i'd have my balt tach'ed out in second taking off. spool, spin, shift, repeat.
