speedometer questions

Anyone know if it's possible for a color change on the speedometer? Obviously the faces can be changed but I was thinking about giving it a try.
 


I'm pretty sure that there is an orange film on there, so I would try and sand with something between 1000 and 2000 grit, then apply a colored film, but then you have all the buttons and lights on your car that are red too, which would look out of place. Just my thought. Buy a couple practice gauges from items - Get great deals on items on eBay Stores!
