• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Spark Plugs

Stock heat range, iridium or copper, check the gap before installation. It should be at .060". Lower heat ranges only help if you have KR, and even then as a last resort as the cooler plugs won't burn the fuel as completely. I wouldn't run cooler plugs with N/A unless I was cammed.

Check your wires while you do the plugs too, they're worth replacing if they're old.

Im not sure. I bought the car with bosch platinums and got the misfire codes. The coil packs seemed relatively new when i bought them looking at the outside condition- left those on. BUT I put new bosch wires on and ngk v power TR55 plugs. Havent had any service engine lights after the switch. And wow the new zzp dp made it pull so much more now lol I just got my 3 inch zzp catted dp installed today and still no check engine lights :)

The colder plugs won't really rob you of any power, so if that's what you prefer then by all means. The only thing they'll rob you of is gas mileage.

Those platinum plugs were probably the sole culprit to the misfires, our ignition systems hate platinum plugs. Most waste ignition systems seem to eat them very quickly and develop misfires.

I log KR every month or two on a long drive, and if I saw significant KR I may run colder plugs, but I rarely get even 1-2 degrees. I've got basic mods like you, intake, HV3, plog, 3 inch downpipe. Once I snag some ER rockers I'll get a tune from Overkill and call it done, that's when I may or may not run a colder plug.
