OK guys, need some advice, I have a 1997 GTP with @ 180,000 only things I have done is a dynomax exhaust (2 1/4") with u bend and cat delete. A cone style air filter

What would be the best spark plugs, wires, coils to get?? and what should the gap on the plugs be?

Plugs - either autolights or NGKs gapped at 0.055
Coils - stock, other aftermarkets don't seem to last
Wires - MSD

leave the coils and wires stock. they perform just as good, if not better, than anything else on the market.

when you say autolites, do you mean the xp extreme performance iridium ones? i am picking up a 99 gtp on monday and always do a full tune up on all used and even sometimes new cars that i acquire. Not trying to steal the posting or anything, but figured keep it in the same thread as it is pretty much the same vehicle. Thanks in advance!

Sorry to jump into this thread but i just recently needed to replace my plugs and i found walmart sold the autolite APP104 double platinum plugs. I put them in a felt a good difference. Are those the 104s people are talking about? just curious is i got that same plugs or if getting a set from zzp would be better?

Autolite 104's can be bought from any "Auto-Parts" store such as Autozone or Orileys. Getting your plugs from ZZP would just be a waste of shipping costs.

AP's are single platinum.

104's are for modded cars.

for modded cars ideally you'd use copper and of the appropriate heat range.

go stock AC-DELCO plugs(unless modded).....stock coils...stock wires....how many miles have you guys gone on ur stock stuff?????(thats why i use stock)

thanks again everyone. i guess i'll be keeping it stock, ha ha. i usually go all out and get iridium or platinum, but i'll see how the 606's go...

you'll enjoy going stock...ive used "different brands" before in my other vehicles rather than stock and it would misfire and get terrible gas mileage...changed the plugs back to stock and good as gold!

And should come gapped to fit ur car
