I have a feeling that after I finish the top swap and start tweaking it, I'll see some benefit to having the huge PRJ wires on what size gap I can run.
i have the MSD superconductor wires. 8.5 mm. are those ok?

With a 3.4? I'd go around 0.050
If you're scanning for knock and running a 3.4" kr (knock retard) free, then you're fine I guess.
The most restrictive part of the exhaust is the u-bend right behind the cat though.

EDIT: You can't really tell if your car is knocking just by feel. If you are seeing knock, then the PCM will pull timing so that you don't blow up your motor.
You will be faster with no kr than you will be with kr, as the restricted timing means less power.

well what if my car is running perfectly fine wit the pulley?
i heard that every grand prix is different and some have KR when others with the same mods dont. and i dont think the dp is all that restrictive. just the cat
Have you had it scanned? If not, then you don't know. There's no way to tell if you have knock without a scanner that can look for it while you're driving.
As long as it isn't clogged up, the cat isn't really restrictive. The DP is horrible as far as how tight it gets (not even talking about the u-bend). The front manifold is worse. You increased the boost on the engine without giving it a way to move the air out, and I bet you have tons of knock for it.
Porting the front manifold doesn't really help since you can't port the part that's the tightest. The rear doesn't really need porting. Get a Plog.
Power Log (aka PLog)
Ported/polished heads will offer a performance gain.
Most people don't do head work until a little further along in the modding game as the stock heads don't become the bottleneck until you've opened up both the intake and exhaust a bit more than stock.
Not to say that it wouldn't provide any gains at all, but there are much cheaper hp/$ gains to be had if you are running a stock setup.
One thing about porting/polishing heads: Make sure your cousin actually knows what he is doing. Bad head work can do more harm than good.
