SP Boost Activated Exhaust Cutout Setup or QTP

Just been looking around online, been trying to figure out my custom exhaust, and im going to go with a single in dual out to side dumps... but I want to run a exhaust cutout after the downpipe, I have been thinking a electronic QTP but found out about the SP boost activated cutout, which partially opens at 5psi and fully open around 11, now the question is sp says it cannot open fully earlier than 11 psi... well my lightly modded GTP only sees around 9 psi, The gate on the cutout looks like a simple wastegate that opens at a certain pressure so couldn't you fabricate a regular wastegate to open up lets say around 3psi or something, or what would be a good psi to open up at to see the best gains? Can the QTP be wired with a hoobs switch to open and close at a certain psi or will it stay open after because no reverse polarity, SP claimed 36 hp and 30tq gain with this cutout on their turbo car, would it have the same effects on ours??

Thanks in advance to shine light on this topic.

but can it gain any performance from opening sooner, or are you saying opening at 5 psi would be the same as 9... and what about an window switch? would it be better to open up in a certain rpm range vs boost??

To answer your question.. no, it won't have the same effect on your car as opposed to a turbo car.

Other than being annoyingly loud, you won't gain much.

Just install a regular electric cut out if thats what your after, you can open or close it in a couple seconds when you want.
